Crappy to Snappy

When I look at this diner website, I see a couple of things wrong with it. There is a low quality picture of the diner in the top right corner, which I believe is not necessary. Secondly, the diner logo does not match the overall design of the website. I plan to move around the layout of the website, use appropriate fonts to display the information, and focus on the main details the diner is trying to advertise.

This is my new and improved website I have created for the diner. I believe it looks more simple and easier to navigate than the original. Times are specifically displayed under the category in which they coincide with. I tried to make the website more appealing and fun by adding some dripping syrup. Social media links are boldly displayed in the top corner of the website, instead of having unaligned weak text.

3-D Map

In this project, we had to create a 3-Dimensional map of place of our choosing. I chose to create a part of my neighborhood. First, I had to outline all of the streets with the pen tool. Then I had to type all of the street names onto the paths using the type on path tool. I then outlined the land and water, and filled the shapes with the appropriate colors. Creating the houses was the most complicated. I created the front and side of the houses, and then used skew to adjust the positioning and angle of the side of the house to create a 3-Dimensional building. The last step I got to was making the land look 3-D. I made a copy of the land shapes and moved the copy to create the look of raised land. I did not quite finish all of them, but I believe the project turned out quite well.
